Are you ready to unleash your shameless sexy self? Come play in an intimate class setting and co-create an atmosphere of mutual empowerment. Learn choreography around the base of the pole designed to unlock your erotic self-expression and ground you in your body. In this class we will develop the strength to move fluidly around the pole and the confidence to be blatantly sexy in front of others! And most importantly, we will have a ton of fun in a low-pressure, supportive environment :)

Attire: Something you feel sexy in! Knee pads recommended. Heels optional (socks recommended if not wearing heels). Bare arms recommended. Shorts or leggings. Dress in layers for warm up/cool down. Please remove rings or body jewelry that can scratch the pole. PLEASE do not use any lotions or body oils the day of your class, they make the pole incredibly slippery!

Floorwork Tricks

with Bridge

Thursday 5:30-7pm

Ages 13 and up

A class dedicated to learning tricks and skills incorporating contemporary dance floorwork and acrobatic elements (inverting, rolling, arching, cartwheeling, and more! Many of these movements draw inspiration from Capoeira and breakdancing). As we begin to gain proficiency with certain movements, we will explore linking them together into an acrobatic “flow”.

Don’t let the word “acrobatic” scare you! Bridge will offer careful breakdown of skills and provide physical conditioning exercises to progress toward safe execution of tricks. Unlocking these skills takes time and consistent practice; patience and dedication are invaluable tools :)

Open Level. Some type of movement background may be helpful for this class (yoga, sports, weightlifting, martial arts etc) but dance experience is not needed. Much of class will take place on padded martial arts mats.

Ballet is Gay!

with Bridge and Nat

Wednesday 5-6:30pm

Ages 16 and up

A lighthearted adult beginner ballet class for queer people and allies. Rather than striving for technical “perfection”, we will emphasize the energy of the movement—romance, drama, expression—while still building a solid foundation of ballet basics.

We’ll use club music instead of a classical score (gasp!) and vibey mood lighting instead of overhead lights (gasp gasp!) Work hard, learn lots, be fabulous.

Attire: comfortable clothes you can stretch and feel good in. Ballet slippers optional, comfy socks are a good alternative :)

Beginner Pole Flow

with Olya

Saturday 11-12:30pm

Ages 13 and up

Come learn pole choreography crafted specifically for beginners! We will work on building fluidity and confidence around the pole, learning various spins and tricks and how to sequence them into a flow. After the warmup, we will learn a couple of pole skills and learn choreography, weaving the moves you've just worked on into it. You are also welcome to include your own favorite pole moves into the flow.

The class is designed for beginners but all levels are welcome! Modifications and progressions of the pole moves for your experience level will be offered.

Attire: shorts and tank top/bra recommended, but dress in layers to warm up and cool down. Knee pads will be helpful for some of the floor transitions. Heels are welcome but not a must-have. Please remove rings or body jewelry that can scratch the pole. PLEASE do not use any lotions or body oils the day of your class, they make the pole incredibly slippery!

Intro to Dynamic Heels

with Er

Wednesday 6:30-8pm

Ages 18 and up

In this class we will learn and build on the basics of moving and dancing in heels. From weight shifting, alignment, and illusions, you will learn how to make movements look powerful and fluid.

Classes will start with a warm up, move into across the floor, and then choreography will be taught, broken down and practiced. Time to film yourself and your friends will happen towards the end of class, if desired.

This class is meant to create space for anyone - all genders, bodies, and expressions- to open the doors to their sensuality, encouraging themselves and each other to find their own unique style. *Heels Optional!* If you do not feel comfortable wearing heels, or want to work up to it, please come and be a part of this fun group dance experience too!

* Please only wear dance-specific indoor shoes for class *

Intro to Aerials

with Olya

Friday 5-6:30pm

Ages 13 and up

This class will give you a taste of what's it like to dance in the air! Explore 3 aerial apparatuses: sling (hammock), lyra (hoop), and fabric (silks).

No prior experience is required: we will start with the very foundational moves, connecting them into a short sequence towards the end of each class. If you have done aerials before, you will be offered more challenging move variations!

This class will happen at the same time as Pole Tricks and we will warm up all together, but be sure to sign up separately.

Attire: leggings or shorts + thigh high socks, tank top / t-shirt / leotard. You want the back of your knees and lower back to be protected, bare arms are ok :)
